Food, Glorious Food!

I gotta' begin the conversation about our health with the topic of "food" because the fact is, what you eat can help or hurt you.  I'm also starting here because I realize I may have a couple of food issues . . . like putting the garlic bread on the bread plate so the biggest piece is facing me, or hiding food around the house that . . . that . . .  Okay! I'll say it!  I hide food that I don't want to share! 

Whew! Now that I've gotten that off my chest, I feel like the best way to deal with a problem is to confront it, so my strategy is to discuss food A LOT because I feel like we're in this thing together! Of course, what we're really talking about is changing one’s lifestyle; changes that can improve one’s health (brain health, too) and quality of life - as cliche as it sounds, as does another cliche . . .“health is wealth”. SO true. I mean, what’s the point of having money if you’re too sick to enjoy it? And if you’re sick all the time, whatever money you do have is going to be spent on healthcare.

Okay . . . this is getting a little depressing . . .

Of course, you probably already have something in mind you want to work on.  I know I do!  So, whether it's drinking more water, moving more and sitting less, cutting carbs or counting them, let's make a plan and take baby steps - or giant steps for you overachievers out there - and get this party started!
